We depart Huaraz at dawn heading north, passing the beautiful Llanganuco lakes to Cebollapampa, our trailhead. We begin a demanding yet spectacular ascent (approx. 3 hours) flanked by waterfalls and the towering peaks of Huascarán and Chacraraju. Reaching Laguna 69 (4,650 m), you are rewarded with a surreal brilliant blue lake beneath an amphitheater of ice. Enjoy a premium gourmet box lunch by the glacier before descending for our return to Huaraz.
