We begin our journey before dawn with a hotel pickup heading towards the breathtaking Punta Olimpica tunnel. Following a comprehensive technical briefing and gearing up with specialized mountaineering equipment, we start the technical ascent over the moraine and onto the glacier. We will conquer the summit of Nevado Mateo (16,896 ft) to marvel at a sublime panoramic view of the highest peaks in the Cordillera Blanca, before a safe descent and our return to Huaraz.
